When making a reservation with us, it is important to fully read and understand this
InkaTrail.com. Operate in regions where standards of accommodation, transport and services that may be different than you would normally expect. However, we strive to provide the best services for our tourists.
Traveling in Peru requires flexibility, patience, open-mindedness, a good sense of humor, and understanding that changes may be made without notice due to circumstances beyond our control.
By booking any of our tours you agree to any necessary changes. These changes will be made for your safety.
In extreme cases such as riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, disease, disasters, adverse weather conditions, or fire, Inkatrail.com will not accept liability and reserves the right to change, postpone or even cancel the trip (this is the last option of course).
To book any trek with Inkatrail.com, you will need to pay a trek deposit of US$ 150 per person. The deposit is used to purchase your MachuPicchu entrace fee, train ticket and a reserve space within the group.
The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. After purchasing the ticket, we cannot change the date of trek departure or change the name or passport number on your MachuPicchu entrace.
The deposit must be paid by Western Union. Once you have made this deposit, you will need to e-mail the transaction confirmation number for the Western Union office in Cusco.

Note: All transaction fees are covered by the client and they are not included in our tours prices.
Once you confirmed your booking with us you will need Send us your personal details for booking: Such as a scan copy of your passport.Your passport number must be valid. Please advise us if you will change your passport after booking the tour (Inca Trail authorities are strict when checking passports at the control at Km 82 and MachuPicchu itself)
Student rate: In order to obtain the student discount (US$20) you must have a valid ISIC card. It is important you scan and e-mail this to us when booking your trek
Holiday Increases: During the holiday season, there is a slight price increase for treks leaving on specific dates. There will be an additional charge of US$35 per person if the group leaves on December 24th-25th or January 1st. This charge will also apply on Peruvian election days, as Peruvian citizens are fined if they do not vote (and will obviously not be able to while on the trek).
One or two days before your trek there will be a pre-trek briefing in your hotel. The exact time will be confirmed at a later date.
Payment of Final Balance: We require you to pay your final balance at your hostal/hotel at least 48 hours before your trek leaves. Currently, we accept cash in US dollars or Peruvian nuevo soles only. We maintain the right to cancel your trek upon failure to make payment at this time.
Cancellations
(a) Deposit sent for booking is non-refundable or transferable
(b) Inkatrail.com must be notified of any changes or cancellations to your trip as soon as you are aware of them via e-mail or Call to our phone in the office .
(c) Once the final balance has been paid in cash we will not be able to refund your trek payment.
