Lake Titicaca
Is a pretty tourist city located on a Plateau extension of Collao, bordering Bolivia, at 3,825m a. s. l. on the Shore of Titicaca Lake. Puno was the center of the Tiahuanacu culture, one of the most important Pre Inca cultures and the maximum expression of the Aymara Population. The city of Puno is famous for its varied and colorful folk traditions, as it has some of the most dazzling and richest Los Urosfolklore ceremonies around Peru. The legend tells that it was here, where Manco Capac and his wife Mama Ocllo, ordered by their god, The Sun, emerged from Titicaca lake to found the Inca Empire.

Itinerary
Day 01: Reception - Sillustani
In the morning, upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Afternoon tour beginning at 2:00pm. We will pick you up from your hotel to visit the pre-Inka cemetery. On route enjoy of pretty landscapes, highland and the Lake Umayo. The Chullpas of Sillustani are the pre-Inka cemetery, which have a round shape and 4 meters height. The Tiahuanaco Culture left at this place great valuable vestiges since centuries ago. On our way back we will have the chance to visit a local family house, so we can be witness of their life style and nourishment that comes from their ancestors. We will return to Puno and hotel.
Day 02: Island Uros - Island Amantani
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel to go to the port. By a motorized boat we will visit the first floating Island of Uros. By the time we will enjoy and experience the Titicaca National Reserve, a wetland area formed by the lake as the rainy season increases its level. Following with the tour, we will visit the Amantani Island, where we will stay in a local family house. Here we will enjoy of a delicious local food surrounded by this unique atmosphere (lunch, dinner and breakfast). During our staying we will visit the Pachatata Temple, watching spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains; and at the end of the day, we will experience how is like spending the night in this Island. A natural beauty and Andean paradise.
Day 03: Amantani Island - Taquile Island - Puno
After breakfast at 09:00am we will leave towards Taquile Island. This remote island is a remarkable community, where the outstanding highlight of its inhabitants is their handicraft derived from techniques developed over centuries. At this place we are going to see the best weavers of ancient Peru. Then, a 30 minutes walk will lead us to the centre of this place, where we will enjoy a typical local lunch surrounded by a cozy atmosphere and spectacular views of the lake. On the way back we will descend through a stairway of more than 500 steps. After our arrival to the port transfer to your hotel.
Day 03: Transfer
Transfer to the aiport or bus station for departure
