If you are short on time (or energy) you can still enjoy the highlights of the Inca Trail. You can visit the most beautiful site on the Inca Trail, Wiñay Wayna, and arrive at MachuPicchu in only two days!

Day 1: Cusco - km 104 - Aguas Caliente
We will pick you up from your hotel at 5:40AM (depending on the train schedule) and take you to the train station. We will travel by train, on a very picturesque route for an hour and a half to kilometer 104 – the start of the 2 day hike. We start our hike and will take approximately four hours up to the Inca site of Wiñay Wayna/Forever Young (2,680m/8,792ft). This is the most impressive site on the Inca Trail.
We will then continue hiking to Inti Punku/Sun Gate (2,730m/8,792ft) where you will have your first dramatic, panaromic view of MachuPicchu (2,400m/7,873ft). We will walk down the last part of the trail towards the ancient city. Before reaching MachuPicchu,After soaking in the view, we will walk down the final part of the trail and approach the ancient city, where we will be able to celebrate our accomplishment and take unforgettable pictures together.
We will descend to the main entrance, Where you will take the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes where you will dinner spend the night. Aguas Calientes. We will take a tour of MachuPicchu on day 2.
Day 2: MachuPicchu Tour
We have breakfast and then take the first bus at 6:00AM to MachuPicchu. A walking tour (approximately 2 hours) is given by your guide and after this you can explore the mysterious city by yourselves. If you still have energy and a ticket booked ahead of time, you can also climb HuaynaPicchu (2,720m/8,923ft). It takes 45 minutes to reach the top of HuaynaPicchu.
Once you are finished at MachuPicchu, you will meet your guide back in Aguas Calientes for lunch (this lunch not included in the cost of the trek) and to receive your train tickets back to Cusco.
If desired, an extra night in Aguas Calientes can be arranged. This option is very popular as it allows more time to explore MachuPicchu. You can also go to the thermal springs in the town
